Handmade knives don't come cheap and, in my opinion, if your paying that sort of money for one you want something a bit special. This is why I prefer to use the handle material that I do as opposed to say micarta for example. You wont see any 2 of my knives the same, they're all individual which makes them unique.


However, I do understand that this can be disappointing for some customers as they see a knife on my site and want exactly the same handle.   All I can do on these occasions is try my best to find as near a match as possible.


All my blades are made from 01 high carbon tool steel which, in my opinion, is about the best for edge retention and sharpening.  When they start making wood chisels from another material then I'll reconsider.


I do not profess to be an expert leather worker, the sheaths that you see here on this site are the ones that I make.  I'm afraid that any request for something different, no matter how slight,  will be refused

My knives are made to be put to work and will not let you down.  They are not made to be sat in a drawer which is why I put a 350 grit finish on them and not a mirror polish finish.  Personally speaking I cannot see the point of a mirror polish on an 01 blade, especially if its a user as with time it will get a petina on it anyway.  Not only that 01 will stain with use and you will need to clean the blade with some sort of abrasive material.
